If you arrived to this post after you typed “Where is Andorra?” in your browser , don’t be embarrassed, you are not alone, on average there is more than 60.000 people that do the same search every day according to Google.

As an Andorran, while traveling or living abroad, I had to answer this same question countless times in bars, with friends, at work, to the customs agents…. Those that felt too ashamed to admit they didn’t know about Andorra would say “yes of course, that’s where the wool comes from,” or  even “right: beach, coconut trees, black people”…. (more…)

If you are looking to get a bit of exercise and some fresh mountain air while in Andorra, we highly recommend venturing out on the Iron Route from Arans (Ruta del Ferro d’Andorra).  The beautiful walking path is dotted with iron sculptures that keep it interesting (in case the sound of the rushing river, crisp air and breathtaking mountain views are not enough to stimulate your senses….
